Do I need any prior experience to become a remote travel agent?
No, prior experience is not required to become a remote travel agent with us. In fact, most agents start without any previous experience. We offer a wealth of FREE training through our host agency, along with extensive resources from our suppliers. You can learn, train, and specialize in any niche you choose—whether it's cruises, all-inclusive resorts, weddings and honeymoons, luxury, international travel, family travel or even accessible travel. All training is conducted online, remotely, and is entirely self-paced, allowing you to fit it around your existing work and family commitments. Available 24/7, you can learn on your terms and at your convenience, making it easy to embark on your new career as a travel agent.
Are there any upfront costs to becoming a remote travel agent?
Yes, there is a nominal investment in your education and certification, as you would expect from gaining any professional credentials. That investment includes your travel agent credentials and IDs, granting you access to our portals and the ability to earn commissions. It also provides you with a personalized website, marketing materials, E&O insurance, and all the optional additional education you want to do, including specialization courses. Additionally, it supports your back-office operations, customer support through live chat, phone and email, as well as the collection and processing of all your commission payments so you don't have to handle those details yourself.
